Professional Development

I believe professional development is an essential part of one’s development as both an academic and as an educator. Below is a list of some of my formal professional development, although I have learned many things professionally during unstructured, everyday life as well. As I continue my role as a TA at UCSB in the fall, my short-term goals focus on acclimating to teaching at the university level. I want to develop the skills that I have gained as a middle and high school credentialed educator for the college environment. I will also be preparing to transition into candidacy exams in the fall of 2022. My long-term goals look towards the steps to attain my CCUT certificate and to be ready for the academic job market later on in my journey.
